The University of Kelaniya is such a place. It is located outside the urban limits of Colombo in the Kelaniya city center. The university is home to many students annually.

However, April 22, 1992, was a dark day at the University of Kelaniya. A male student stabbed another female student and poisoned himself. Yet, the fate didn’t end as he wanted. A love triangle ended in a brutal murder.
